Ordering & delivery
How long does delivery take?
Every product is made to order in our workshop in Latvia. Making takes 2–7 working days, then tracked FedEx delivery takes 3–7 working days to most countries.
How much is shipping?
A flat €20 for tracked FedEx door-to-door delivery, worldwide.
Will I pay customs or import duties on delivery?
No surprise charges. Within the EU there are no import duties. For the USA, UK and Canada, import duties are calculated and paid at checkout, so there is nothing extra to pay to FedEx when your parcel arrives.
Do you ship to my country?
We ship worldwide with FedEx. If your country isn't offered at checkout, email us and we'll find a way.
Can I order by phone or email?
Please order through the website. For custom work or business orders, email us first and we'll send you an invoice.
Which product fits my van?
Which canvas fits my VW T4?
Measure the bottom edge of the front roof panel, corner to corner:
- about 118–119 cm → T4 Weekender canvas
- about 124–125 cm → T4 California canvas
- Long wheelbase (Winnebago / EVC) → T4 Winnebago LWB canvas

Which canvas fits my VW T3 / T25?

Which canvas fits my Ford Nugget?
Each Nugget generation has its own canvas, from the 1st Gen (1985–1991/92) to the Nugget Plus L2 (2019–2023). See the Ford Nugget collection and our Nugget installation guide.
I'm still not sure. Can you check for me?
Yes. Email support@thetoptrail.com with a photo of your van with the roof open and, for a T4, your front-panel measurement. We'll confirm the right product before you order.
My roof isn't listed. Can you make a custom canvas?
Often, yes. Send us your old canvas (we can arrange a prepaid FedEx label) or a technical drawing with measurements. See custom-size canvas.
Colours & materials
What colours can I choose?
Canvases come in 14 fabric colours with black, grey or white mosquito mesh. Screens never show colours exactly, so if you want to see them in real life, order our colour swatch card.
Are mosquito nets included in the canvas?
Yes. Canvas windows have integrated mosquito mesh, and most models also have zippered window covers.
Installation & care
Can I install the canvas myself?
Yes. Most owners do it in an afternoon with a helper. Instructions are included, and our step-by-step guides help:
Do I need to waterproof a new canvas?
The canvas is water-resistant from the start. For long rainy trips, we recommend treating the outside with at least two cans of BERNER waterproofing spray. See also canvas care tips.
Can I keep the sliding-door mosquito net on with the door closed?
No. The magnetic net is fitted from the outside and is used with the door open. Take it off before closing the door.
Do your mosquito nets fit right-hand-drive vans?
Yes.
